Sodexo Corp., the food service provider for Manchester Township Schools, has added the services of Regional Dietician Tracy Kinsel-Cooper this year. Kinsel Cooper has been busy creating menus, doing nutritional analysis, contributing to a monthly newsletter, and demonstrating the produce of the month to students during lunch periods. She is also available to the schools to provide nutrition education programs.
Recently, Kinsel-Cooper visited elementary schools at lunch time so that children could sample fresh squeezed orange juice. She squeezed the juice herself on the spot so children could see how it was done. Each month, she brings a different fruit or vegetable for children to sample in hopes of encourage them to expand their healthy eating habits.
