Shoppers Get Student Art for Earth Day

Students at all three of Manchester's elementary school decorated hundreds of paper grocery bags with Earth Day themes to be used at the Stop & Shop in Whiting on Earth Day. This popular program has been coordinated by the township's Environmental Commission for over 10 years.

Pictured are students from MTES with Don Somerset of the Environmental Commission and Councilmen Ken Vanderziel and Fred Trutkoff. Somerset says that customers, especially the local seniors, really enjoy receiving the bags.
