Soldier Presents Flag at Patriot Day Ceremony

MTES observed Patriot Day during the General Assembly at Back to School Night. Dr. Scudese invited any parent who served in the military to wear their uniform and participate in the flag salute, presented by the Fifth Grade Honor Guard. 

Sergeant Michael Bean, who has a son currently at MTES and twin daughters who are now at the middle school, was one of the veterans who attended. He recently returned from Iraq, where his outfit had received care packages sent by MTES students last school year. As a thank you for their support, he presented the school with a flag that had been flown over their camp in Iraq.
