Manchester Township Hawks bowlers, Kevin W., a senior captain, and Dan S., a junior, gave the team a double shot of the ultimate game by tossing 300's on consecutive days, reports Coach Joe Bolcato.
“On Tuesday, January 29, Dan shot his in a JV win against Brick Memorial with a total pin count of 719, his first of the year. Kevin shot his perfect game on Jan. 30 in a win against Brick, giving Kevin his fifth 700 of the Year,” Bolcato said.
“Dan has been improving at each contest, anchoring our very strong and competitive JV squad. Kevin is in his fourth year on the team, most of that at the Varsity level, serving this year in a leadership role as one of our Tri-captains. The coaches have always felt that Kevin had plenty of ability but this year he has really come into his own with his fifth 700, a 215 average, and now the 300 game. He looks to carry us, along with the rest of our varsity players, through the Sectional tournament.
“In another very spectacular showing by the JV squad this year, at the Jackson Invitational JV Tournament, our 4-man ‘A’ team put together three fantastic games to win the First Place trophy. They had a record individual game of 793 and a record-setting final pin count of 2735. On that team was Max O., Bill C., Bill M., and Dan S.. Bill M. shot the high game of the day with a 280.”
