This past winter sports season was filled with team and individual accomplishments. Most notably, James L. became the first Hawk to win a State Wrestling Championship. Bowler Elizabeth H. was also crowned the individual Shore Conference Champion and Kevin W. and Dan S. both bowled perfect 300 games. In basketball, Camille V. and Marvin B. joined the elite 1,000 career point club. The Men’s Indoor Track team was crowned B South Champions and the Varsity Cheerleading Squad successfully defended their national championship title.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of the recently produced musical, Crazy for You, under the direction of Ms. Sarah Thiffault. This year’s production was outstanding and showcased the many talents of our students.
Once again The Princeton Review SAT prep course will be offered to juniors this spring beginning May 6. Parents of juniors should have received a letter but if you have not, it is not too late to register.
The countdown for seniors has begun with Graduation right around the corner on June 17. Final exams are scheduled to begin on June 9.
Special congratulations go out to MTHS Teacher of the Year, Mr. Michael Boyd. Mr. Boyd teaches Industrial Arts and has been doing so at the Home of the Hawks since 1980.
