Visiting author, Dale Christopher, captivated students with stories of his father's career as the number one sports writer for children. His father, Matt Christopher, is the subject of Dale's first book, "Behind the Desk with Matt Christopher".

Christopher talked about his dad's work and how it inspired him to love reading and to write his own book. He also brought mementos to share and wore a vintage 1938 Yankees uniform, depicting the era that his dad played for a semiprofessional Yankees team. After his talk, he signed autographs for students.
