Mrs. Kerry White’s class got signatures from the whole building on a petition to have hopscotch boards painted on the blacktop at Ridgeway School. Then they submitted the petition to the principal, Mrs. Pedroza, and Mr. Wager of the Buildings & Grounds Department.
Thanks to the generosity of Jack Pollon of Lasting Lines, who donated his services, Ridgeway now has 4 hopscotch boards available for the students to use during recess.
"It really showed them the power of a petition and what can be accomplished," said Mrs. White.
