Note from the Principal Spring 2008
Dr. Janette Lada

As the cold weather begins to fade, Ridgeway students are gearing up for the final months of the school year. As usual, Ridgeway is a busy and exciting place to be. Third and fourth grade students have finished the NJ ASK test and the fifth grade students will take the state test during the week of May 5.

Our Junior Impact Club has been visiting Manchester Manor and has sponsored several drives within the school to provide much needed supplies to several organizations. A big thank you goes out to the Ridgeway families for all their support. Ridgeway students were also involved in Jump Rope for Heart, with over $8,000 raised for the American Heart Association. Once again, your generosity for others less fortunate is truly outstanding.

Upcoming events include our annual Spring Arts Festival, Band Concert, Kindergarten Celebration, and Fifth Grade Breakfast. Fourth grade students will be visiting Shop Rite in May. This is the culminating activity for our “Young Consumers” program that has developed their mathematical and problem solving skills. The fourth graders have been very excited all year about this special program.
I want to thank the PTA for their support this year for all the wonderful educational programs that they have provided for Ridgeway.

Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Barbara Fusaro. She was voted by her peers as Ridgeway’s Teacher of the Year. Congratulations to Mrs. Fusaro for the outstanding job that she does.
