Whiting Elementary School raised over $3,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital by participating in the St. Jude’s Math-A-Thon. This is an educationally-based fundraising program in which students get sponsors to make donations based on the number of math problems completed in special workbooks.
“We are very proud of our students for working so hard on the Math-A-Thon,” said Pat Hoppe, advisor of the Whiting School Junior Impact Club, which sponsored the Math-A-Thon. “With their help, St. Jude Hospital will be able to create new treatments that may one day benefit children around the world. I also want to extend our thanks to the Whiting community for supporting our students.”
