Whiting School has had a wonderful fall season. Our children are involved in many worthwhile activities sponsored by our school, including Junior Impact, Wildcat Club, Banking, Broadcast News, Recycling Club, Peer Mediation, Chess Club, Web Masters and the list goes on…. We are very proud of our students.
We are most grateful to our wonderful PTA. Our visiting author, Dale Christopher, was terrific. This year’s Book Fair was superb. Parents enjoyed coming to conferences and selecting a book for their child.
Junior Impact spearheaded our fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The club also organized our annual food drive for Thanksgiving. In addition, children brought smiles to everyone’s faces during their visits to Whiting Healthcare and Head Start.
Our fall fundraiser and clothing drive were great successes, thanks to everyone’s support.
Our students are continually learning how to get along better by using their “I” messages to solve conflicts and prevent bullying behavior. Helping us in this area is our new Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Meredith Smisek. Welcome!
With the holidays approaching, Whiting School is proud to support Kevin Burger on behalf of our annual Kevin’s Kids Holiday Drive. This is truly a team effort, and we are most grateful for the help we receive from everyone. Donations are gladly accepted; please make checks payable to “Manchester Township Middle School” with “holiday drive” written in the memo section. You may also drop off new items for the drive at Whiting School.
We send a big “Thank You” to the Whiting Exxon. We are the recipient of Exxon Mobil’s Educational Alliance Program grant in the amount of $500. Thanks for being such a wonderful neighbor!
Best wishes from Whiting School.
