ReAnna B., who is in Mrs. Orlando's second grade class at Whiting Elementary School, won the Ocean County Health Department "Breakfast for Brain Power" Creative Writing Contest. 

She was chosen from over 1,000 second grade girls who completed a fill-in-the-blanks story about a girl who discovers that eating a good breakfast will help her get better grades and sing like Disney star Hannah Montana.   ReAnna was presented with a certificate at the April meeting of the Ocean County Freeholders.  She also won a breakfast party for her class. 

"We are so proud of her," said Mrs. Orlando. Mrs. Orlando said that contest officials told her that ReAnna's title, "Breakfast! A Great Start to Being Smart," was what put her story over the top as the winner.
