On Friday, March 02, 2012 the children at the Whiting Elementary School celebrated Read Across America.  In the morning the entire school gathered into the all purpose room and kicked off the day with a story read to them by Miss Enggren.  Throughout the day we had guest readers read to our students which they enjoyed tremendously.  To finish the day off the students had the chance to sit quietly in the hallways to read to themselves.
