Congratulations RDS Class of 2012!

RDS Class of 2012 Family members beamed and wiped away tears of pride as Regional Day School at Jackson said goodbye to thirteen graduating students on June 7.

The thirteen graduates each wore a cap and gown in the colors of their hometown high school and received diplomas from their home districts as their families and fellow students cheered them on.  The graduates and their home schools are: Sarah H. & Lawrence Y. of Central Regional; Andy D. of Southern Regional; Luis G. of Middletown; David G. of Jackson; Andrew H. of Toms River East; Casy M. & Vincent S. of Manchester; Anthony Q. of Toms River North; Lance S., Chrislynn T., William W. of Toms River South; and Nichole Y. of Allentown Regional.

Principal Ralph Lotierzo told the graduates that they would be missed, and that they would always be a part of the Regional Day School family.

All of the graduates also received gifts from the Manchester Township Education Association, Administrator’s Unit, and Support Education Association, as well as awards for their participation in Industrial Technology and a gift from the Lakewood BlueClaws - free tickets to a home game.  Keisha G., an underclass student, received the Regional Day School Caring Award.

Evolution Quartet, a local barbershop quartet, performed at the ceremony, as has been tradition for several years.  All of the students and the entire audience sang along to “Goodbye and Farewell” to end the ceremony.

The Regional Day School at Jackson is a state-funded special education facility operated by the Manchester Township School District.
