Manchester Township Middle School has been closed to staff and the public after mold was found in some first floor areas of the building. Testing was performed over the weekend by professional testing and cleanup companies, TTI Environmental and Servpro, and the district is awaiting results and a cleanup plan, according to Superintendent of Schools David Trethaway.
As a precaution, the staff has been moved to other locations and the 6th grade orientation meeting on Aug. 13 was relocated to the high school.
Trethaway said that the entire school would be tested and cleared before the school is re-opened. “We are working to make sure everything is 100 percent safe for our staff and students.”
