Dragon Day 2019
Dragon Day is the day most of our students look forward to all year with good reason! The day was beautiful once again this year, the sun was shining, it was warm but not hot, and there was a delightful breeze to keep everyone cool.
Once again this year our Fifth Grade held a fundraiser for Heifer International. It was a huge success, they planted seedlings of Tomato, Eggplant and Pepper Plants and sold them for $2.00 each. They raised over $500. for an excellent cause. For more information see Heifer International.
Our Second Graders in Mrs. Basile's Class raised money for Alex's Lemonade Stand once again this year. This charity is determined to fight Childhood Cancer, One Cup at a Time. For more information go to Alex's Lemonade.
Thank you to all of our families for supporting both of these important fundraisers.
We also want to thank our Dragon Day Volunteers for helping with all of our activities. It takes a lot of help to make this day the huge success that it is and we could not do it without our volunteers.
Thank you also to the Manchester Township Education Association for providing funding through their PRIDE program for our Volunteer Lunches.
