The New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) has selected David Trethaway, Superintendent of the Manchester Township School District, as the 2019 Regional Superintendent of the Year for Region III, South Jersey.
As both students and teachers experience ever-increasing stress in our fast-paced world, schools are turning to a new focus on social and emotional learning (SEL) and mindfulness. These programs help students focus on learning, manage their emotions, and become responsible citizens. Manchester Township Public Schools are implementing a number of SEL initiatives at all levels.
School attendance is linked to school achievement. Students fall behind when they miss school.
The Board of Education, in cooperation with the Township and the Police Department, approved the hiring of two Class III Officers. These officers are retired from the police force and have been fully vetted and trained by the Manchester Township Police Department specifically for work in the Manchester Township Schools.

Manchester Twp Middle School
Continuing a tradition of more than 20 years, students at Manchester Township Middle School experienced Stand by Me Day on May 17, 2019. Instead of their regular classes, students attended presentations designed to inspire and inform.
Congratulations to the Manchester Township Middle School Boys Track and Field team for winning the Middle School's first ever Ocean County Championship title!

The Manchester Township Board of Education approved the 2019-20 school district budget at a special meeting on May 2, 2019.
Winners of the VFW Patriot's Pen Essay Contest at Manchester Township Middle School were recognized at the April 17, 2019 Board of Education meeting. Winners were: Ann Farrington - Grade 6, Max Anderson - Grade 7 and Patrick Pagdatoon - Grade 8.
Come celebrate the arts in Manchester Schools at the Manchester Youth Arts Festival on Thursday, May 16 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Manchester Township High School. All of the district's schools will be represented at this fabulous community event that features student art displays and performances.
Junior Achievement (JA) of New Jersey brought their Allstate and High School Heroes JA Day to Manchester Township Middle School on April 10, 2019. Sixth grade students learned concepts relating to personal finance, entrepreneurship, and career readiness, preparing them to succeed in a global economy.
