MTHS Heroes Bring JA Day to Ridgeway School

Fifty-five Manchester Township High School Hero volunteers brought JA Day to 22 Ridgeway Elementary School classrooms on December 13, 2021. This program, sponsored by Junior Achievement (JA), trains the high school students to teach lessons relating to personal finance, entrepreneurship, and career readiness to the K-5 students, preparing them to succeed in a global economy.

This is what some of the high school volunteers had to say about the experience:

Engaging with the kids and seeing them having fun while learning was my favorite part of the day.” – Isabella, 12th grade

“I enjoyed working with the children within my own community. This experience has helped me develop my leadership and communication skills.” – Noelle, 12th grade

“I loved working with the kids, I really enjoyed getting to experience what it's like running a classroom and being responsible for fifteen kindergarteners.” – Mia, 11th grade
