MTHS Teams Take First and Third in OCC Sink or Swim Entrepreneur Competition
Manchester Township High School students took first place, third place, and best presenter awards at the Ocean County College Sink or Swim County Wide Competition.
Sink or Swim is an entrepreneur competition modeled after the ‘Shark Tank’ program. Business Teacher Nick Salvemini said that the students were tasked with coming up with a new product and submitting a business plan. Out of the 30+ business plans from across the county, 10 were chosen to pitch their product to a panel of judges. Those judges picked the top three teams and awarded them with cash prizes. They also chose the best presenter from the ten teams.
The team of Gabrielle Ashton and Ava Bullis took first place.
In third place was the team of David Giambatista, Isabella Munday and Shay Juralewicz.
Emilia Wrazen was named Best Presenter.
