Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. It is great to get back to school and see all the positive changes that have happened since the end of last year.I am now entering my second year as the occupational therapist at Regional Day school and I look forward to continuing to grow in the school setting along with the students. I have been an occupational therapist for 11 years now and have worked in multiple settings with individuals across the lifespan, as well as working as an adjunct professor at Utica College. Again welcome back to a new and exciting school year!!!

Occupational Therapist

Regional Day School, Manchester Township Elementary School and the Manchester Middle School.

As the Occupational Therapist in a variety of schools , I am quite busy. I do however get to work with a lot of students, which means I get to have a lot of fun.

Currently I am working with Lisa Yannazone's class at Regional Day School making cards. The students get to apply pre-vocational skills to copy a card from model. They utilize stamps and various design punches that not only work on their visual motor skills, but also on improving their strength. They are all doing a great job!

Occupational Therapist

Hi! My name is Alex and I joined the RDS family in November 2018. Before starting here I worked in a private pediatric outpatient practice for over 4 years. I had the opportunity to learn about so many different things such as sensory integration, strengthening, coordination, and motor planning and how these skills are necessary for supporting participation in functional activities across all environments. It's great to be able to use clinical knowledge and experience to help students to be as independent as possible. I am really enjoying being an occupational therapist in the school system. So far I have had the opportunity to work with some awesome students and staff. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn with everyone!
