Welcome to the Speech Department Webpage!  At Regional Day School we work with school children who have communication problems that affect success in classroom activities, social interaction, literacy, and learning.  Good communication skills lead to successful speaking, thinking, reading, writing, and learning.  Areas that we address:

Biography:

Hello! My name is Regina and I am Regional Day School's new Speech Therapist. Prior to working at RDS I had a great experience working at a private outpatient rehab facility. During my time in outpatient rehab I worked with many different clients who presented with language and articulation disorders and varied developmental disabilities. I also have experience working with children who benefit from feeding intervention and I enjoy using a multisensory approach within my speech sessions.

Biography:

Lauren Kropa is a Speech Language Pathologist at Regional Day School in Jackson. Her prior therapy experience includes public school, sub-acute, and early intervention. She received her Master's in Speech Language Pathology from Kean University, and her undergraduate degree from Stockton University. Lauren's therapy philosophy is to equip each students with functional communication, and life skills. To accomplish this, she utilizes a multi-sensory approach to therapy, and encourages students to utilize total communication to express themselves (i.e. verbal, sign, AAC, gestural, or a combination of modalities!).
