To Parents,
I am writing you this letter to survey your interest in allowing your child to participate in the Ocean County Challenger League. The Ocean County Challenger League is sponsored and operated by POAC Autism Services, in conjunction with the school districts throughout Ocean County. We will be hosting challenger athletic games on Sunday mornings from 10am – 11am. . Each season has a total of 9 games. These games are designed to encourage social and recreational opportunities for students who suffer from mental and or physical disabilities. The athlete will participate in flag football, soccer, basketball and baseball. Accommodations are met based on the need of the athlete. Uniforms will also be provided.
I’m excited for the Challenger Sports League Season and I am looking forward to working with you and coaching your child. My goal for the season is for each athlete to have fun and the opportunity for socialization through athletic participation.
