All Schools on ALL REMOTE Schedule Jan. 25-26-27
January 22, 2021
Parents, Staff, and Students,
Over the past few days, we have experienced several issues with our internet connection and this has resulted in students and families being unable to connect to the instruction from our teaching staff. This has had a negative impact on our students who are receiving instruction remotely as well as causing several issues with students who are receiving in-person instruction.
After consulting and investigating the cause of the problem with our internet provider, it has been determined that our system will need to add additional safeguards to ensure that these interruptions in service do not continue. Unfortunately, these additional safeguards will take several days to be completely installed and activated.
Therefore, it is necessary for all Manchester Schools, including the Regional Day School, to be placed on remote instruction for Monday, January 25, Tuesday, January 26, and Wednesday, January 27. There will be no in-person instruction for any student on these three days. We are hopeful that these safeguards will be in place for in-person instruction on Thursday but I will keep you informed. Vocational students should follow the same procedures as a remote Wednesday on each of these days.
It is important to note that no data or information has been lost due to these service interruptions.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our students, staff, and families but unfortunately, this issue is beyond our local control and this step is necessary to ensure all of our students and staff are safe and able to receive instruction without any interruption of service.
As always thank you for your understanding and support as we all continue to address the many obstacles we face due to the pandemic crisis.
I hope you and your family stay safe and healthy.
