Superintendent's Message 1-2-2022
January 2, 2022
Dear Parents and Staff,
I hope you all have had a healthy and happy holiday season.
Unfortunately, our particular area has had a dramatic increase in the number of individuals who have tested positive for COVID. We have been monitoring our staff situations and at this time we will be able to open all of our schools on Monday, January 3 as usual. However, we must be prepared for any changes in the situation and we will monitor our schools each day and you will be notified as soon as possible of any changes. While we understand the importance of students attending school in person for both academic and social reasons, our decisions will always be based on the safety and health of our students and staff. With that in mind, we will urge students and staff to take their computer devices home each day in the event we need to move to a virtual setting. We hope that this is not necessary but we must be prepared if the situation changes.
We will be meeting with the Ocean County Board Of Health representatives along with other school districts to consider any additional measures that may need to be taken.
It is imperative that if your child shows any symptoms as listed on the Daily Health Screening Form, you should keep them home. Please continue to review and fill this form out on a daily basis. Of course all of the other safety precautions will continue to be in place such as masks and social distancing as much as possible.
Again, we will continue to monitor the ever changing situation and I will provide you with any new information when it becomes available. We will provide current information on the website and through our emergency notification system.
Thank you for your understanding and your support of the district and I am confident together we will continue to be able to address any new developments.
