Manchester Township High School’s Helping Hands for Hunger is once again calling on the community to come together in the spirit of giving. This annual food drive provides complete Thanksgiving meals confidentially to Manchester Township School District (MTSD) families who may need a little extra support during the holiday season. The goal this year is to support 125 MTSD families, and the program’s success depends on community support.
Now in its seventeenth year, Helping Hands for Hunger continues to thrive thanks to the compassion and generosity of Manchester students, staff, and neighbors. Each year, this community-wide initiative ensures that every family can share in the joy of a warm Thanksgiving meal.
In past years, donated gift cards have helped volunteers purchase perishable food items such as fresh fruits, vegetables, turkeys, and eggs. Community donations have also made it possible for MTHS students to bake homemade desserts to include in each basket, adding a special and heartfelt touch to every meal.
Those wishing to support the 2025 Helping Hands for Hunger food drive are asked to donate gift cards from grocery stores or general retailers to help purchase essential food items. Donations may be dropped off at:
