This month, Manchester Township High School (MTHS) TV Production students had a special opportunity to work alongside their peers at Manchester Township Elementary School (MTES) to create impactful Public Service Announcement (PSA) commercials.
Earlier this month, MTHS students visited MTES to guide elementary students through the process of developing and recording commercial footage. The high school students worked closely with the MTES students to plan, film, and capture the essential scenes needed for the PSA.
Once the footage was collected, MTHS TV Production students returned to their classroom studio to work with their teacher, Mr. Eckert, as he guided them on how to edit and assemble the commercials. Using the recorded clips, they carefully pieced together each PSA, applying professional editing techniques while maintaining the message and creativity of the MTES students.

Today, MTES students visited the television studio at MTHS to review the completed edits. During the visit, high school students explained their editing choices, shared their editing workflow, and highlighted the skills they focused on during the production process. Together, the students celebrated the final commercials and the teamwork that brought them to life.

This collaboration allowed both MTES and MTHS students to learn from one another, strengthen their production skills, and experience firsthand how teamwork and creativity can make a powerful impact. The project is a shining example of how Manchester's students continue to support and inspire one another across our district.
