Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at its meeting. This month, the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:
Manchester Township Elementary School
Lorel Pearson
Lorel is a natural leader who consistently sets a positive example for others. She is kind, respectful, and always willing to lend a helping hand. As a great friend, she makes everyone feel included and supported. Her polite and thoughtful attitude helps create a welcoming and positive environment for everyone around her!

Ridgeway Elementary School
Matthew Hidalgo
Matthew consistently exhibits initiative and responsibility, actively contributing to the school community. His academic progress this year reflects notable diligence and determination. As the leader of the daily afternoon announcements, he displays confidence, professionalism, and a strong sense of school pride. Matthew’s courteous demeanor, willingness to assist others, and exemplary leadership serve as a model for his peers.

Whiting Elementary School
Avery DiPaolo
Avery is a thoughtful presence in the classroom, often anticipating needs before they arise. She notices the small details others miss, like a classmate searching for a misplaced handout or someone looking lost during a transition between lessons. Without being asked, she’ll lean over to point out the right page number or quietly slide a spare pencil toward a peer in need. She knows the classroom routines by heart and serves as a subtle guide for anyone who stumbles, stepping in with a gentle reminder or a helping hand that keeps the day running smoothly for everyone.

Regional Day School
Charlotte Bott
Charlotte has made significant progress this year in both completing work tasks and strengthening her communication skills. She consistently perseveres and works diligently to complete her school-related tasks. Charlotte is actively tracing letters, writing her name, and appropriately requests sensory breaks when needed. Throughout the school day, she is growing in confidence and engaging in learning. We are super proud of Charlotte!

Manchester Township Middle School
Thomas Schenck
Thomas is an 8th-grade student who has shown exemplary leadership and a strong commitment to service through his work on the Impact Club. His contributions so far this year have included participating in the Candy Gram sale, helping to prepare for the Thanksgiving food drive, assisting at the Children’s Memorial Garden, and regularly presenting club reports at our monthly Rotary breakfasts. Overall, Thomas is an integral member of the club and truly embodies the values of our community.

Athletes of the Month
Madden DeMelia & Alison Kurpiewski
We are extremely proud to have Madden DeMelia and Alison Kurpiewski represent MTMS as our student athletes for March. Madden and Alison are both great representations of what it means to be a student-athlete. They are 8th-grade leaders on our Baseball and Soccer/Track & Field teams (respectively), work just as hard in the classroom as they do in the athletic arena, and serve as excellent examples to our younger student athletes.

Manchester Township High School
Tyler Perlman
At just 16, Tyler has earned Eagle Scout, the youngest in Troop 441. His project beautified St. John’s Church pantry entrance and created a memorial for his late father, a United States Marine. His dedication, leadership, and service exemplify remarkable character and proudly represent Hawk spirit in our community.
Manchester Township High School
Athletes of the Month
Ashley Fink & Justin Roberts
Ashley Fink is a freshman and a 1st year varsity letter winner for our swim team. She played an important role this season and was named 3rd Third Team All-County in the 200 IM. Ashley also qualified in the 50 freestyle in the SCT.
Justin Roberts is a sophomore who has established himself as the heartbeat of the boys’ basketball team. He leads by example with relentless toughness, which led him to be named Second Team All Division. Justin has set the standard in helping guide the Hawks to a promising future.

Congratulations to all!
