Students in Manchester Township High School's (MTHS) video production class recently received an invaluable glimpse into the exciting world of film and television, thanks to a visit from Chris Peluso, Senior Director of Editorial Post Production Operations at Paramount in New York City.
Mr. Peluso, an alumnus of the class of 1993, shared his expertise and experiences, offering a comprehensive overview of Paramount's extensive production catalog and what it truly means to work behind the scenes in a major television studio. He detailed the intricate processes involved in bringing popular shows to life, from initial concept to final broadcast, and provided a realistic perspective on the challenges and rewards of a career in film and television.
"It was incredible to hear directly from someone working at such a high level in the industry," commented Casay L. a student in the video production class. "He opened our eyes to all the different roles and opportunities available."
Beyond the technical aspects, Mr. Peluso also spoke candidly about the collaborative nature of the industry, the importance of dedication, and the continuous evolution of production technologies. This unexpected bonus was a huge hit with the class, serving as a fun reminder of the vast and diverse content produced by Paramount.
