Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at their meeting. This month, the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:
Manchester Township Elementary School:
Manchester Township Elementary School third grader Kailey Kramer is the 2025 winner of the Applebee’s Above and “BEE”yond contest. Each year, the students have the opportunity to nominate a teacher they feel is exceptional and goes above and beyond. Thanks to Kailey’s outstanding essay nominating her teacher, Mrs. Peck, her class was treated to a trip to Applebee’s for lunch!
Ridgeway Elementary School:
Second-grade student Kensie Davino is being recognized for her dedication to recycling at Ridgeway Elementary! Kensie took action by creating posters and advocating for more recycling. Thanks to her passion and hard work, our school is proud of its now consistent recycling efforts. Great job, Kensie! Your commitment to the environment inspires us all.
Whiting Elementary School:
Congratulations to the Whiting School’s fifth-grade students, Hanna Gwozdz, Kaleigh Foley, and Addie Seaman, who won the poster contest sponsored by the Sons of the American Revolution. Their entries focused on famous historical figures of the time.
Regional Day School:
Congratulations to Regional Day School’s student of the month Emmalie Augello! Emmalie has recognized that her actions and behavior can impact her environment in positive ways. She is always willing to help and support her peers when they are having a difficult time. She is willing to assist staff members and has begun to volunteer for school jobs. Emmalie is gaining confidence and sharing her many good qualities with the school community. We are so proud of the young lady that Emmalie is growing into.
Regional Day School - OCTVS:
Due to the construction of an addition next door to Regional Day School at the OCVTS building, OCTVS’ Mr. Short and his Fundamentals of Facilities Management Program students have been maintaining and beautifying our school grounds. They have been learning how to use a variety of landscaping tools during fall and spring cleanups and upkeep the path between our schools. They have also learned to build raised flower boxes, mulch flower beds, plant a tree, and so much more! Thank you for your efforts and attention to detail. It is greatly appreciated!
Manchester Township Middle School :
It is with great pleasure that we recognize James DeSilva and Hannah Frenz tonight. Both James and Hannah have shown academic excellence at Manchester Township Middle School for the past three years. They both graduated last week with the highest academic averages. We are so proud of them and know they will accomplish amazing things in high school.
Manchester Township Middle School – Athletes of the Month:
We are extremely proud to have Sean Christoforo and Natalia Minneci represent Manchester Township Middle School as our Student/Athletes for the month of June. Sean and Natalia are both great representations of what it means to be a student athlete. They are both eighth-grade leaders of our baseball and softball teams, respectively, work just as hard in the classroom as they do in the athletic arena, and serve as an excellent example to younger student/athletes.
Manchester Township High School:
We’d like to recognize Manchester Township High School senior Jamie Popek for creating the school district’s first-ever Pass the Torch ceremony. This meaningful event united the graduating Class of 2025 with the incoming kindergarten Class of 2037, symbolizing the passing of wisdom and inspiration from one generation to the next. Jamie’s vision and determination helped establish a new tradition that reflects our district’s commitment to “Excellence by Example.” We proudly honor Jamie for her lasting impact and congratulate her as she begins her next chapter with the U.S. Coast Guard.
Manchester Township High School – Athletes of the Month:
Gabby Minneci was a Captain of the Manchester Township High School softball team who led the team in hits (17), runs (15), and bases stolen (8). Gabby led us on the mound as well. Her natural leadership gives us a chance to be competitive in every game. It’s no surprise Gabby was invited to compete in the Carpenter’s Cup in Philadelphia.
Brendan Spaziano was also a Captain of the Manchester Township High School baseball team and had a tremendous season on the mound with a 86 strikeouts in 53 innings..(3rd in single season school history) & led the Shore Conference. He had a 1.32 ERA Opposing teams hit just .153 against him. In a 1st round state tournament upset @ Cedar Creek he threw a 1 hitter with 8 k’s. Congratulations to Brenden and Gabby.
