Opening Day 2025

School is officially back in session for Manchester Township School District (MTSD) staff, who gathered this morning at Manchester Township High School (MTHS) for the district’s annual opening ceremony, a much-anticipated reunion to launch the 2025-26 school year.

This year’s theme was unveiled during the event: “The mark we leave on each other, the ripples we create together, and our shared impact.” It served as the guiding message for a morning filled with inspiration, reflection, and renewed purpose.

Superintendent Diane Pedroza delivered a heartfelt address, drawing on her more than 25 years of service within the district. She reflected on the enduring influence educators have on one another and on their students, sharing:

“The beauty of our work is that no mark fades away completely. Like ripples in water, the kindness we show, the encouragement we give, and the challenges we help one another overcome continue to spread outward, touching lives in ways we may never fully see. Together, we make a difference.”

She went on to reaffirm the district’s core values:

“Our motto, ‘Excellence by Example,’ remains our compass. Excellence is not a single act; it is a culture we build together. Every one of you contributes to the ripple effect of excellence.”

“The way we support one another, the way we guide our students, the way we face challenges together, these create lasting impressions that shape lives and strengthen our community.”
