Manchester Township High School (MTHS) students are taking the lead this fall to ensure local families can enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal. As part of the district’s annual Helping Hands for Hunger food drive, Ms. Vidrasco’s class at MTHS designed, decorated, and placed the official donation collection box at the school’s front vestibule, inviting the entire community to give back in the spirit of gratitude.

Now celebrating its seventeenth year, Helping Hands for Hunger supports Manchester Township School District (MTSD) families who may need a little extra help during the holiday season. With a goal of providing complete Thanksgiving meals to 125 families this year, the program continues to grow thanks to the compassion of our students, staff, and neighbors.
Donations of grocery or general retailer gift cards are especially appreciated, as they allow volunteers to purchase perishable items such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, and turkeys. Community support has also helped MTHS students bake homemade desserts for each basket, adding a thoughtful, personal touch that has become a cherished tradition.
How to Donate:
Gift card donations may be dropped off in the Helping Hands for Hunger box at the MTHS front vestibule or mailed to:
Manchester Township High School
Attn: Joseph Serratelli
1 Hawks Way
Manchester, NJ 08759
If you would like to arrange a pickup, please email jserratelli@mtschools.org to coordinate.
Donations are requested by November 18, 2025 to allow time for students and staff to shop, assemble, and distribute baskets ahead of the holiday.
Every contribution helps ensure Manchester families can enjoy a Thanksgiving filled with comfort, warmth, and community care. Thank you for continuing to show what it means to give with a full heart.
