Manchester Township School District recently saw an inspiring display of dedication as teachers, specialists, and administrators gathered for an after-hours professional development session focused on TESA, which stands for Teacher Expectations Student Achievement.
The goal of TESA training is to boost student achievement and enhance classroom climate, equipping educators with strategies to support every learner. This session drew a full room, highlighting the commitment of our staff to continuous growth and student success. They truly exemplify our school district's motto, Excellence by Example.

Led by Tracey Raimondo, Director of Curriculum, and Maureen McLaughlin, Vice Principal of Manchester Township Middle School, participants included pre-K through 12th-grade teachers, occupational and physical therapists, and administrators. Many attendees were new to the district, first-year staff members, or educators who had not previously participated in TESA training since joining the district. Importantly, all staff attended voluntarily, outside of their contractual hours, demonstrating a deep commitment to their students and professional growth.
"TESA training has been the cornerstone of our educational philosophy since 1983, when it was brought to the district by Mr. Burger and Mr. Lokerson. Every year, I am inspired to see our staff fully engage in this practical and meaningful professional learning,” said Tracey Raimondo, Director of Curriculum, Manchester Township School District.“ Their dedication ensures that every student benefits from high expectations and a positive learning environment.”
The district looks forward to continuing to prioritize professional development opportunities, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence for both staff and students alike.
