What began as a dream became a memory that Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) students will carry with them for a lifetime.
On Sunday evening, the Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) Chorus took the stage at the PNC Bank Arts Center, performing alongside legendary rock band Foreigner during the band's iconic hit, I Want to Know What Love Is. After earning the opportunity by winning 105.7 The Hawk's "Sing With Foreigner" contest earlier this year, our students proudly represented Manchester Township School District in front of thousands of concertgoers.

The performance was met with tremendous enthusiasm from the audience as family members, friends, staff, and supporters from throughout our community and across New Jersey came together to cheer on our students. Seeing so many familiar faces in the crowd made the evening even more meaningful for the young performers.

To everyone who purchased tickets, traveled to the concert, and proudly supported our chorus, thank you. Your encouragement helped make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity even more special, reminding our students just how many people believe in them.
The members of Foreigner also made a lasting impression. From the moment the students arrived, the band and its team were welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely excited to share the stage. They created an unforgettable experience that extended far beyond the performance itself, giving our students the chance to see what professionalism and a love of music look like at the highest level.

This incredible opportunity would not have been possible without the dedication of the MTMS choir director, Katie Sherman. Mrs. Sherman believed in this opportunity from the very beginning, inspired her students to pursue it, and spent countless hours preparing them for one of the biggest performances of their young lives. Her passion for music, commitment to her students, and unwavering encouragement helped turn an exciting contest into an unforgettable accomplishment.
We are incredibly proud of every member of the Manchester Township Middle School Chorus for embracing this extraordinary opportunity with confidence, heart, and excellence. Last night's performance was about much more than sharing the stage with a legendary band. It was a celebration of hard work, music education, community support, and the unforgettable moments that happen when students are encouraged to dream big.
Congratulations once again to Mrs. Sherman and our outstanding MTMS Chorus. You represented Manchester Township with pride, and your school community could not be prouder of you!
