With just two weeks until Christmas, the spirit of the season was shining brightly at Manchester's Ridgeway Elementary as kindergarten students welcomed their families for a joyful and hands-on holiday celebration. Classrooms were filled with excitement this morning as families joined their children to build festive gingerbread houses, an annual tradition that brings creativity, collaboration, and plenty of sweet fun.
Students worked side-by-side with their families, carefully assembling graham cracker walls, colorful candy decorations, and snowy frosting rooftops. Laughter and conversation filled the room as they created memories together and enjoyed a special moment during this busy time of year.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a very special guest made his way through the building. Santa Claus himself visited classrooms throughout the morning, greeting students, spreading cheer, and taking time to listen to holiday wishes. His visits brought wide smiles and extra sparkle to an already magical day. Students in Mrs. Kennedy's class even sang Santa a special song!

Thank you to the Kindergarten teachers for putting together such a wonderful gingerbread-making event this morning. And to Santa and his hallway guides for bringing holiday cheer! Ridgeway Elementary is also continually grateful to all the families who participated and helped make this holiday gathering one to remember. Events like this highlight the strong sense of community within the school, reminding everyone of the joy that comes from coming together to celebrate traditions, creativity, and family connections.
