The Ocean County Health Department recently celebrated students from across the county for their creativity and commitment to promoting public health awareness through art. The contest encouraged students to explore important health topics and express their ideas through posters, drawings, and other creative projects that highlighted the impact public health has on local communities. The program also recognized participants as Public Health Youth Ambassadors for helping spread positive health messages in an engaging and meaningful way.
Among the students recognized were three talented students from Manchester Township School District, whose award-winning entries reflected both creativity and a strong understanding of public health themes. The two elementary students, Taisha Valente Romero from Ridgeway Elementary School and Scarlette Kenniard from Manchester Township Elementary School, had their pictures chosen to be in the " What a Difference A Friend Makes calendar art contest, and Naheem Sheridan from MTHS won for his video submission. Their accomplishments showcase the dedication and talent of Manchester students while reinforcing the importance of encouraging young people to become involved in community health awareness initiatives. The district congratulates all three students on their outstanding achievements!
