Mrs. Cataldo's Universal Preschool Class at Whiting Elementary has been incorporating the school's garden into their Creative Curriculum lessons all school year. In the fall, they planted carrot seeds while learning about trees and the letter C. In the winter, when they learned about clothing, they saw how their carrot seeds had to be covered with mulch to keep them warm. During the recent water study, the class has been investigating how water absorbs into soil to help things grow. This week, as we close out the school year, they were able to proudly pick and sample the carrots that they grew. Way to go!
