Whiting School was delighted to host local authors who shared their inspiring book, Beau on the Go!, with our students. The story follows Beau, a child on the autism spectrum, and his best friend Piper as they navigate life’s ups and downs together. Despite their differences, their friendship thrives on empathy and understanding. From everyday adventures, such as grocery shopping, to exploring their neighborhood, Beau and Piper learn to appreciate the world through each other’s perspectives.

Through sensory-friendly illustrations and engaging storytelling, Beau on the Go! beautifully highlights the values of acceptance, kindness, and friendship. It’s a heartwarming tale of overcoming challenges, celebrating small victories, and cherishing meaningful moments.

The authors, Hayley Bray, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and Caitlin Smoler, a speech pathologist, are lifelong best friends who share a deep passion for supporting children with diverse needs. Their collaboration on this book reflects both their professional expertise and their commitment to spreading understanding and inclusion.
