Universal preschool classrooms at Whiting Elementary wrapped up their Creative Curriculum Clothes Study this week with hands-on learning and celebration. In Mrs. Yunginger’s class, students marked the occasion with a Fashion Show, wearing favorite outfits, star sunglasses, and walking the red carpet to songs they selected, while stuffed animals cheered from the audience.

Ms. McNeill’s class also joined the fun with an Alphabet Fashion Show of their own. Students designed paper bag vests inspired by a letter of the alphabet, decorating them with words and images that matched their chosen letter. One by one, they proudly walked the runway, showcasing their creativity as their teachers and Ms. Swift cheered them on.

Mrs. Cataldo’s students enjoyed a real-world connection when class parent, Ms. Hanson, visited to share her career as a bridal shop sales associate. She demonstrated a sewing machine, let students try the pedal, and taught them how to measure properly with a tape measure, helping students learn how clothing is made, fitted, and sold.

Through music, movement, and meaningful real-world experiences, students closed out 2025 by bringing their learning to life, showing creativity, confidence, and curiosity while also celebrating everything they discovered about clothes, careers, and self-expression.
