Whiting Elementary School's Math Family Engagement Night, held on April 22, 2026, was a sweet success, bringing students and families together for an evening of learning and fun with a Candyland theme. 
The school was transformed into a colorful, candy-inspired space where families rotated through interactive stations designed to reinforce math skills through games, problem-solving activities, and hands-on challenges. Students practiced counting, addition, and strategic thinking while “traveling” through the Candyland path, making learning both engaging and memorable.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Bubbakoo’s for their generous food donation, which helped make the evening even more enjoyable for our families. We would also like to thank Mrs. Phua, Mrs. Tinik, Mrs. Boyd, Mrs. Zeccardi, and Mrs. Taylor for coordinating the event.
