WES ADOPT A PET 2026

On May 7th, the Whiting School's Preschool Department hosted a heartwarming “Adopt a Stuffed Puppy” event, welcoming nearly 50 families for an evening filled with creativity, laughter, and hands-on activities.

Each child had the opportunity to “adopt” their very own stuffed puppy and take part in a variety of interactive experiences designed to encourage imagination and responsibility. Participants decorated perfectly sized dog houses, created personalized collars and name tags, and even designed special puppy treats for their new furry friends.

The fun continued with activities focused on puppy care, including dog-training exercises and grooming stations, where children learned to care for and nurture their adopted pets in a playful, engaging way.

A special thank you goes to Jersey Mike's Subs for generously donating sandwiches so that all participating families could enjoy dinner during the event.

The evening was organized by the Preschool Department with facilitator Mrs. Jacki McNeill, whose efforts helped create a memorable experience for children and families alike.
