Please join us in welcoming Ms. Ashley Thompson as the new Whiting School Principal!
Ms. Thompson brings more than 18 years of experience in public education and a passion for fostering academic excellence, positive school culture, and meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. She began her career in the Wall Township Public Schools, where she served as an elementary teacher for 15 years. During her time in the classroom, she developed a strong foundation in curriculum and instruction while creating engaging learning environments that inspired students to reach their full potential.
Most recently, Ms. Thompson served as the Assistant Principal of Monmouth Beach School for the past two years. In this role, she provided instructional leadership, supported curriculum development, coordinated the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), oversaw state and district assessments, served as the District 504 Coordinator, Anti-Bullying Coordinator, and HIB Specialist, and worked collaboratively with staff and families to ensure every student received the support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Throughout her career, Ms. Thompson has remained committed to building strong partnerships with families and creating schools where every child feels safe, valued, challenged, and inspired. She believes that strong relationships between home and school, high expectations, and a collaborative school community are the foundation for lifelong learning and student success.
As the new Principal of Whiting Elementary School, Ms. Thompson is excited to join the Manchester Township School District and build upon Whiting School's proud tradition of excellence. She looks forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, supportive families, and wonderful students to create meaningful educational experiences while fostering a culture of kindness, innovation, and achievement.
