Local author, Martha Mosley, came to Ridgeway Elementary School today to read to second-grade students. Thanks to the school district’s partnership with All Fur One Pet Rescue, they were also visited by senior cat Raleigh!
Ms. Mosley shared with students about her new book titled “A Place for Grace." The story is about a senior dog’s journey of being adopted from the animal shelter. Students enjoyed hearing the story outside in the garden on a beautiful day while reading along with the author and asking many questions.
After Ms. Mosley finished reading her story, All Fur One Pet Rescue shared with them senior cat Raleigh. Raleigh is a lovable cat who is hard of hearing and sight but full of love and hugs. Students shared about their love of pets and returned to their classrooms full of wonderful new ideas to discuss and journal about!
