It was a beautiful day for the students participating in Manchester Township School District’s Extended School Year (ESY) Program as they enjoyed the Field of Dreams!
Located in Toms River, Field of Dreams is a privately owned complex for special needs individuals and their families. The outing provided an amazing opportunity for students from Manchester Township High School, Manchester Township Middle School, and the Manchester elementary schools to take a break from the classroom, get out in the fresh air, and enjoy the park, music area, mini golf, aquarium, and even garden on site!
MTSD staff and students fully enjoyed the experience. There were so many welcome reunions between former classmates and students who were able to have a fun day out together.
The MTSD Extended School Year is a program that provides students the opportunity to bridge between academic years, keeping up their positive learning momentum. Today’s trip was a wonderful way to support that mission and the importance of exercise and socializing in the summer sun! Thank you to the Field of Dreams for welcoming Manchester today.
