ENGINEERING TEAM FIELD TRIP

Yesterday, students from the Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) and Manchester Township High School (MTHS) Engineering programs attended the Garden State Precast Open House in Wall, NJ.

The visit offered students a firsthand look at the facility in full operation. Garden State Precast is a leading concrete manufacturer that designs and produces a wide range of products, including block walls, elevator shaft forms, concrete basins, highway dividers, and bridge forms.

During the tour, students gained valuable insight into the systems and structures that often go unseen. They learned how the foundations of infrastructure are created and supported. They also observed how the engineering design process comes to life in an industrial setting, seeing real-world applications of AutoDesk and CAD software used in the design and planning of each form.

In addition to exploring the technical aspects of the plant, the high school students had the opportunity to learn about potential career pathways in engineering and manufacturing, hearing directly from professionals in the field.

The experience reinforced classroom learning while inspiring students to consider future careers in engineering, design, and construction.
