RES PRESCHOOL STUDENTS PLANT MUMS

Manchester’s youngest learners in the Universal Preschool Program are exploring the world around them in exciting, hands-on ways. Last week, Mrs. Nardone’s class took their science lesson outdoors, planting colorful mums to brighten the front of Ridgeway Elementary School for the fall season.

The preschoolers discovered how special gardening tools help prepare large planters. They carefully removed weeds, raked the soil, and mixed it to create the perfect environment for their flowers. Officer Mark joined in the fun, helping students lift the vibrant mums into place.

During the activity, students also learned about the plant lifecycle and discussed where the mums should be planted to get the sunlight and water they need to grow and thrive.

Now, families visiting Ridgeway Elementary School can enjoy a warm fall welcome, knowing the mums were planted with care and love by Manchester’s preschool students!
