OCTOBER BOE MEETING

Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at its meeting. This month, the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:

Jo-Ann Delahanty
Ridgeway Elementary School

What began as a typical Friday at Ridgeway Elementary quickly turned extraordinary when Teacher’s Assistant Ms. Jo-Ann Delahanty saved a choking student during lunch by performing the Heimlich maneuver. She acted swiftly and calmly, dislodging the obstruction and ensuring the child’s safety. Her heroic actions, quick thinking, and PD training exemplify the district’s commitment to preparedness and student well-being. Manchester Township Schools is proud to honor Ms. Delahanty tonight as we celebrate her courage and dedication as a shining example of “Excellence by Example.”

OCTOBER BOE MEETING

Mustang Meadow
Manchester Township Middle School

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette can earn, requiring a project that creates impact on the community. Mackenzie, Olivia, and Brianna from GSJS Troop 50342 each dedicated more than 50 hours to researching, planning, and completing their Silver Award project. On October 9, 2025, Mustang Meadow was officially opened in the courtyard of MTMS. The girls recognized the unused space and, aware of the declining butterfly population, partnered with two Rutgers Master Gardeners to create a butterfly sanctuary. Their hope is that Mustang Meadow will serve as both an outdoor classroom and a peaceful place for staff and students to enjoy nature.
