ECO EXPLORERS CLUB 2026

Snow and ice could not slow down the Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) Eco Explorers as the club launched its first adventure of 2026 with a wildlife education experience. Thanks to Rizzo’s Wildlife World, students were able to learn about and interact with a variety of exotic animals right at Manchester Township Middle School.

During the visit, rare animals came to life for students as they had the opportunity to pet, observe, and ask questions about animals, including a chinchilla, snakes, an alligator, lizards, and even a huge toad. The hands-on experience sparked curiosity and encouraged thoughtful questions to deepen students’ understanding of wildlife and ecosystems.

This learning opportunity was made possible through the dedication of MTMS educators Susan Morgan (Science), Kristine Laporte (Science), and Michael Balog (Social Studies). Through their efforts, the NJEA–New York Giants partnership was brought to Manchester, which came with grant funding that launched the Eco Explorers Club.
