Manchester Township High School (MTHS) marked a meaningful milestone yesterday as students, staff, and administrators surprised the school’s longtime principal with a celebratory parade around the building, just one day before his final day in the role.
The heartfelt tribute honored the principal’s 13 years of dedicated service to the MTHS community. Lined along the halls and outdoors, students and staff cheered, waved signs, and applauded as the principal made his way through the halls, a moment that proved deeply emotional. The celebration reflected the admiration and gratitude felt across the school for his years of leadership and commitment.
During his tenure, the principal worked closely with families, staff, and students to foster a supportive and inclusive school culture. Under his leadership, Manchester Township High School experienced continued growth, celebrated countless student achievements, and strengthened its sense of community. His impact is evident not only in academic success but also in the relationships and memories built throughout the years.
As of February 1, 2026, the principal will officially retire, closing an important chapter in the school’s history. Looking ahead, the district has announced that Mr. Alex George, former MTHS principal and current Director of Student & Administrative Services, will serve as Acting Principal through June. Mr. George brings extensive experience and a shared commitment to supporting students in achieving both academic and personal excellence.
While the Hawk’s Nest will soon welcome new leadership, yesterday’s celebration served as a fitting and joyful send-off, honoring a legacy of dedication, care, and pride in the Manchester Township High School community.
