The blustery winter weather could not keep Manchester Township School District (MTSD) families from coming together for one of the district’s most heartwarming traditions, the 10th Annual MTSD Valentine’s Day Dance.
Despite the chilly conditions, a record number of families bundled up and filled Ridgeway Elementary School with warmth, joy, and celebration as they marked a decade of this beloved event. The milestone anniversary made the afternoon even more special, honoring ten years of connection, inclusion, and unforgettable memories for our special needs families.

There was plenty of dancing, crafting, laughter, and fun throughout the day as students, families, and staff enjoyed great music and a welcoming atmosphere. What began ten years ago as a simple idea has grown into a cherished annual tradition that continues to bring our school community together.

DJ Glenn, a Manchester resident, once again generously volunteered his time and talents to provide the soundtrack for the celebration. From the moment the music started, students, teachers, and families filled the dance floor. There was hardly a moment when someone wasn’t dancing, smiling, and enjoying the experience together.
The event was made possible through the dedication of community volunteers, the Board of Education, Superintendent Pedroza, Principal Michallis, and the outstanding staff, all of whom worked together to ensure the day was a success. Families enjoyed crafts, a photo area, and delicious cupcakes, snacks, drinks, and pizza. High school student volunteers also played a key role, helping run the craft tables, serve food, staff the photo booth, and support the event throughout the afternoon.

Thank you to the incredible families, staff members, students, and volunteers who braved the winter weather and came out to celebrate this special 10th anniversary. Your continued support is what makes this MTSD Valentine’s Day Dance a meaningful tradition year after year, truly excellence by example in action.
