The Manchester Township High School Guidance Department is hard at work this week, preparing our students for their 2026-27 course selections.
Today, the Guidance Department is hosting an Electives Fair, allowing students to explore the wide range of elective courses available as they begin planning their 2026–27 school schedules. The event was designed to help students make informed choices as they prepare to work one-on-one with guidance counselors in the coming weeks.

Throughout the fair, tables were hosted by students currently enrolled in various electives. These peer presenters enthusiastically shared their firsthand experiences, explaining what the courses involve, what skills students can expect to build, and why they personally enjoy the electives they chose. This student-led approach allowed attendees to ask honest questions and gain real insight into classes they may be considering for the upcoming school year.
The Electives Fair is one part of a broader effort by the MTHS Guidance Department to support thoughtful academic planning. Students were reminded that detailed descriptions of all elective offerings, along with graduation requirements and course pathways, are always available online through the Course Catalog.

High school planning efforts extended beyond the building as well. Yesterday, the MTHS Guidance Department visited eighth graders who will soon become incoming freshmen. During those sessions, counselors discussed the transition to high school, course selection, and the importance of exploring interests while balancing academic goals.

Together, these initiatives highlight the MTHS Guidance Department's continued commitment to preparing all students for successful and informed course planning.
