This week's historic blizzard of 2026 brought extreme winter conditions to our area, creating hazardous travel, towering mounds of snow across our town, and, for some, temporary loss of power and heat. Despite these challenges, the Manchester community came together to ensure a safe and swift return for our students and staff to school on Wednesday!

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Manchester Township School District's (MTSD) Building and Grounds Department, MTSD Mechanics, the MTSD Transportation Department, and our Township partners for their extraordinary teamwork and dedication. Working long hours in difficult conditions, these teams coordinated snow removal efforts, cleared parking lots and walkways, inspected facilities and vehicles, and ensured buses and buildings were ready to operate safely.

As Superintendent Pedroza often reminds us, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This blizzard was a prime example of our Manchester village coming together, demonstrating the power of collaboration and community spirit in keeping our students and staff safe.
Thanks to these collective efforts, our schools were able to reopen and welcome students and staff back to class safely on Wednesday morning. Their professionalism, cooperation, and commitment to the community highlight the strength of our district and the value of strong partnerships.
